Dr. Eric S. Hans, D.M.D.

Dr. Hans graduated from the University Of Pennsylvania School Of Dental Medicine then completed a residency in general dentistry at the Peninsula Hospital Center in New York City. This education enables him to understand and plan for your children’s future adult dental needs, while they are patients in our office. After completing his General Practice Residency, he completed a residency in Pediatric Dentistry at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children, where he learned advanced pediatric and orthodontic treatment techniques. While a resident at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children, Dr. Hans worked in a general dental office as well as a very large pediatric dental office.

After graduating from his residency in pediatric dentistry, Dr. Hans worked part-time in four private dental offices. Dr. Hans’s goal is to provide great dentistry for your children in the most comfortable environment.

Hi my name is Kellie. I have worked as the Office Manager for Dr. Hans since 2008. I really enjoy working with children. I am married to a wonderful man and we have five children: 3 girls and 2 boys. My children keep me busy with all their activities but I do enjoy reading and shopping and anything that takes me outdoors!

Hi my name is Gail. I have been working with Dr. Hans since 2001 as a Front Desk Receptionist. I am a native New Yorker but also lived in Massachusetts where I attended Boston University School of Nursing. After my son and daughter were grown I moved to Nevada and then returned to Pennsylvania to be closer to my family. I am blessed with six grandchildren, four girls and two boys. I enjoy traveling, baking and taking road trips in my leisure time.

Hi, my name is Shelly. I met Dr. Hans when my children were patients of his and I have been working with Dr. Hans as a dental assistant since 2005. I have three children: Amanda, Ricky & Billy and reside in Ephrata. It has been very rewarding working in a profession with children! I have been able to see many of our patients grow up! In my spare time I like to paint, go for walks, ride my bike and go to the movies with friends. My goal is to get out and enjoy each day!

Hi, my name is Desiree. I have been working with Dr. Hans since 2000 but have been a dental hygienist since 1991. I love working with children and Dr. Hans' office is the perfect fit for me! My husband, Karl and I have two children: Amber, who is attending college to become a physicians assistant; and Dalton, who is in the Army Reserves National Guard. Once Dalton graduates college he hopes to have a career in law enforcement as a State Trooper! We live on a small farm in the Warwick Township area and take care of our dogs, many chickens, and horses--no I do not brush their teeth I leave that fun job to our vet!! In our spare time as a family we enjoy traveling and camping anywhere in the U.S. as well as Canada! I also enjoy running, biking, horseback riding and cooking--nothing beats a home-cooked meal!

Hi, My name is Rob. I have been a dental hygienist since 1993 and have worked on Dr. Hans' team since 2007. I have two Associates degrees - in Biology and in Dental Hygiene. I also have a Bachelor's degree in Science and Technology from Thomas Edison University. Much of my early hygiene experience was working with developmentally disabled individuals at a facility in Delaware County. Since that time I have been teaching Dental Hygiene and working with Dr. Hans. I have three small children which keep my wife and I busy. We manage to travel quite a bit and have been fortunate enough to show the kids lots of interesting places.

Hi my name is Joan and I have worked as a dental assistant since I was 15! I graduated as a dental hygienist in 1982 and have been in the field ever since! My husband and I have been married for 27 years and have 2 boys: Drew & Tim. Drew is studying communications at West Chester and Tim is studying Marketing at West Chester. I have played tennis and golf since I was a kid and I volunteer as a Special Olympics coach for golf all spring and would like to try coaching for skiing. I am also a CPR instructor and volunteer for the Boy Scouts! I enjoy reading and my favorite book is Into the Wild by John Krakauer. The one place that is number one on my list to visit is The Galapagos Islands but our favorite place to get away is in Naples, FL oh and I absolutely hate to shop!!

My Name is Scarlett, and I am the permanent temporary hygienist for Dr. Hans. I take care of working on the days that the regular hygienists need off including vacations and maternity leaves! I have been a part of this wonderful team in Trappe for a little over a year. I have been a dental hygienist for 16 years, most of my career having been in the Harrisburg, PA area. My husband, Tom, daughter, Savannah, and I reside in Eagleville. We are expecting our second child January of 2015, and we are all very excited for our new arrival! We love traveling as a family and always seem to have our next trip planned! We also love to go to the beach and pool during the summer, and ski and play board games in the winter. I love to cook, especially grilling in the summer. Along with that, Tom and I really enjoy all the amazing restaurants in downtown Philly and take advantage of restaurant week as much as possible! I am thrilled to be a part of Dr. Hans' team. It is a wonderful feeling to help a child to have a positive and fun experience during their dental visits, and I feel privileged to provide a small part of that whole process. I look forward to meeting you or seeing you again soon!

Hi my name is Sydney. I started working with Dr. Hans in the beginning of 2017. I started as a patient in 2000 and have been coming to Children's Dentistry of Trappe ever since. I work as Dr. Hans assistant and help our PRC Patti. I enjoy planning events for our office staff and baking different goodies. Outside of work, I like to go hiking, trying out a new recipe, and spending time with my family and friends.

Hello my name is Alicia. I started working with Children’s Dentistry of Trappe in the winter of 2017. I’ve been a Dental Assistant for over 20 years. I got my Dental Assisting certification from Berks Career and Technology Center in 1997. Throughout my years in the dental field I have worked in Endodontic, Periodontics, Orthodontics, Oral Surgery and now Pediatrics. I love working with children and have done so for many years with my in-home daycare center before going back full-time in the dental field. I have been married to my wonderful husband Matthew since 2000 and we have two awesome kids, Devin and Stephanie. My whole life is my family and I live for them. I don’t get too much free time with traveling to my kids, husband and nieces sporting events but I would not change that for the world. We love to go to the beach, go wine and beer tasting, plus I love to plan parties with friends and family. We have two adorable pugs that we love dearly. Dance, gymnastics and sports have been my life since I was 5 years old and I still love to watch them. I enjoy baking with my daughter and learning new recipes.
